From the back cover:
Welcome back to the Doughjo, the bakery made famous for brawling breads and boxing bakes - and the place that Ring Doughnut calls home.
Ring still dreams of claiming the FOOD FiGHT! Championship from his idol, the legendary "King" Cassius Cake, and forging his own legacy with the belt. Before that, he'll need to actually have a match - and to do that, he'll need to join a sanctioned gym.
Rejected by the prestigious Sponge Dungeon and facing up to working in his family's struggling hotel for the rest of his shelf life, Ring is offered a lifeline: a place at the newly-established "Les Pommes de Guerre" gym by the enigmatic Coach Potato. With no other route to the professional ranks forthcoming, Ring has no choice but to accept.
After a full-on first day teaches him that there's still a lot of things he doesn't know about boxing, Ring realises that his toughest lesson might not be learning new techniques, but rather forgetting what his grandfather had taught him.
With the first match in the gym's history up for grabs, can Ring make the required progress and convince Coach Potato to give him the bout?
Volume 2 includes a special bonus chapter: "A Slice of Life: Ms Madeleine".
With new and improved cover art!
